Terms of Service

By using our site you are agreeing to all of the terms listed below.

 

1. Who Are We?

1.1. These are the terms and conditions for The Tech Border LTD ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a private company incorporated in London in the United Kingdom, under company registration number 13476623, who sells game keys and product codes through www.thegamekeystore.com and provides news through thetechborder.com.

1.2. Our (thegamekeystore.com) website contains predominantly digital downloadable content. From video games to prepaid codes for other online retailers. Our website, sells official keys for various online services, where the codes will unlock and access the content on the developers platform. We are not the developers of any of the content on thegamekeystore.com and we are unable to regulate the content available from the downloading of the content. After using our platform, you may need to agree to other Terms of Services from the developers of the content purchased.

 

2. How to get into contact with us.

2.1. You can contact us by live chat which is available on our website Monday to Saturday. If you need to contact us outside of the hours we are available, you can email us at (thetechborder(@)gmail.com) or you can use our contact form.(https://thegamekeystore.com/pages/contact). We do not accept correspondence through our business address unless specifically instructed to.

2.2. If we are to contact you, it will be by the information submitted by you on your account, which will likely be email. In rare occasions we may contact you by other methods submitted by the account holder.

 

3. About you.

3.1. To purchase from our website, you do not have to create an account, you can checkout as a guest. If you wish to create an account to keep track of your orders, you can do that also. We do not allow the sharing of accounts, or account passwords or other account information. We must encourage each person who uses our site to create their own individual account.

3.2. If you are under the age of majority in the country where you live (which is usually 18 or older.) You must have your parent's full permission to make the order and following transactions on our website.

3.3. Some of the games sold on our website may have an age rating of 18+. (Or up to 21 or higher in certain countries.) We will not sell a game to someone if they are under the legal age of purchase and we are aware of that fact. We do not encourage trying to work around these age restrictions or trying to access content illegal in your country.  (E.g: The uncut version of Call of Duty: Black Ops I which is banned in Germany.) If you are legally considered a minor, your parent and guardian is responsible in ensuring that you are accessing age appropriate content. We do not moderate the content available in any of the downloadable content and do not agree with any illegal behaviours that may be exhibited.

3.4. Before you place an order with us, we would advise checking that your device can handle the specifications needed in order to run the content purchased. The minimum specifications are available through the developer's website and various other sources on Google. 

 

4. Your privacy and personal data.

4.1. The data you provide to us will be dealt with in accordance to our privacy policy which is available here: https://thegamekeystore.com/pages/privacy-policy.

 

5. Our contract with you.

5.1. When purchasing any codes through our website you will be entering into a contract with us for the supply of codes to access and download content from the developer’s platform. You will be legally bound by our terms of conditions, our affiliate terms of conditions if you are enrolled, and the terms and conditions of the developer's software that the key will be redeemed on.

 

6. Information on the purchased products.

6.2. The images displayed on the website are for illustrative purposes only. Content descriptions may include video and still images that do not represent actual gameplay. Such as trailers or pre-release screenshots.

6.3. We do not provide upgrades to the purchased content after you purchase codes from us and we do not let you know if the developer of your content makes any upgrades or updates available to you or generally available. All upgrades will be available through the developer's platform. The codes you may purchase from us do not entitle you to any updates, upgrades, new releases or new versions of the content unless stated otherwise, or the developer of your content provides any of these to you in accordance with the developer’s end user licence agreement or other agreement with you. However, in some cases the developer will require additional payment from you for updates, upgrades, new releases or new versions of content, which will not be handled by us.

 

7. Orders

7.1. When you place your order at the end of the online purchase process, this does not mean we have accepted your order. In most cases, once your order has been accepted, your code will be sent to your email. If you have put the incorrect email, please contact our support. In some cases we may be able to offer a refund. This whole process normally takes less than 5 seconds for your code to be delivered. If your order is accepted, alongside receiving your key, you will receive an invoice/confirmation email.

7.2. In some rare cases we are unable to confirm certain orders. We reserve the right to turn a customer away at any time, we will contact you if this is the case. This may be because of one or more of these reasons.

  • The content is unavailable.
  • You have been banned from using our services. (Which will be because of violating our terms of services.)
  • You are not allowed to purchase the content. (Due to it being illegal in your country, or being under the legal age to purchase the content. Mentioned in sections 3.1/3.2/3.3.)
  • We are not allowed to sell the content to you.
  • There has been a mistake in the displayed price, description, or quantity available.

7.3. On rare occasions, we may need to refuse or cancel an order or freeze your account even if we have previously confirmed an order, this will be due to unusual activity. If this happens to you and you think we have made a mistake please get in touch with our customer service team. 

7.4. Pricing - The price of the game will be displayed on the page connected to the title. Some of our codes prices may change over time as we sell or purchase more codes. As some of our prices are retrieved through API, they may take longer to update. All currency conversion rates are handled through our payment providers.

7.5. Incorrect pricing - In the unlikely scenario that our website displays an incorrect price, we will contact you as soon as possible to confirm the reorder, with the adjusted price. If we do not receive any correspondence from you, the order may be cancelled.

7.6. Security. We will do everything we can to ensure any information given to us, from payment information to an email address, stays encrypted and not accessed by any third parties unless displayed otherwise. In the unlikely scenario of a breach taking place, we will inform you immediately.

7.7. We do not condone the use of illegally obtainted credit cards on our website. We have a zero tolerance policy on illegally obtainted cards and chargebacks. You will be banned from our service permanently on your first offence with no way of reversing the ban. In the case of a chargeback or use of an illegally obtained card we will cooperate with all appropriate authorities who contact us or who we may contact after the action is taken. 

 

8. Accessing your content.

8.1. We are not responsible for delays that are out of our control. If there is a delay of any sort we will let you know once we are aware by email. If there is a substantial delay you can contact us and request that the contract with us is ended and to receive a refund.

8.2. If your account is banned or suspended on the developer's platform, we are not liable and will not be able to offer a refund. This is something you should take up with the developers as to getting your account unsuspended or banned

 

9. Closing your contract with us.

9.1. If you wish to close your account with us. You can contact us by live chat or by email at (thetechborder(@)gmail.com). This can be due to one or more of the stated reasons below.

  • We have informed you of a change to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, or any other policies, and you do not consent to the changes.
  • We have informed you of an order that you would like to cancel due to a mistake on our end. (See section 7.5)
  • Changing your mind on a purchase. You are able to cancel your order within 7 days of the confirmation email being sent to you. This is provided the content has not been used, or there is a mistake that hinders your use of the content. 
  • You agree not to charge back with any of our payment providers, and agree to contact our support to get a refund. If you charge back, we will ban you indefinitely from our services.

In some cases you may be entitled to a refund, due to the product not arriving, or being of unsatisfactory quality, and The Tech Border LTD. will comply with any consumer laws that are applicable to each case. While we will try to ensure that all our codes are free from defects, viruses or malicious content. We do advise checking the game distributer’s privacy policy and terms of service before redeeming. We do not promise that our keys are compatible on other third party services not connected to the service the key was originally purchased to be activated on. You also agree to try to troubleshoot the problem with us before trying to initiate a refund.

10. Our rights to terminate the contract.

10.1. We may terminate the contract before the delivery of your code. This could be due to one or more of the following reasons:

  • You breach one of our terms.
  • Your payment has failed or has been cancelled after payment.
  • Anything mentioned in Section 7.5 has taken place.

If you are in breach of our terms and we end the contract any of the following may take place:

  • It will not affect our right to receive any money which you owe to us under this contract;
  • We may suspend you from using our services without refund.
  • You agree that no court order will be required to effect termination of this contract.

 

11. Our Responsibility

11.1. If we fail to comply with our terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or our failing to use reasonable care and skill. Any unforeseeable damage is not something we are liable for. Foreseeable damage is something you have brought to our attention during the sales process, or something that we deliberately overlooked beforehand, being aware of the potential consequences.

11.2. If you redeem a code that is defective and we fail to use reasonable care during, before or after the sales process. Then we will repair the damage and/or pay compensation. We are not liable for any damage that could have been avoided by you. Which may be but is not limited to:

  • Not reading the developers terms or instructions before, during or after install.
  • Not following our advice, which is mentioned in these terms. (Section 9.1)

Our codes are only available for domestic and private use. We do not permit the resale of our codes, or for use for commercial service, without prior contact with us first, where we will need to give you written consent. We are not liable for loss of business opportunity, business interruption or any loss of profit.

 

    12. Other Misc. Terms.

    12.1. All of our terms operate separately. If a legal organisation or authority conclude that a term may be unlawful, the other terms will remain in full force and effect.

    13.1. We can enforce the contract at any time. Even if we do not enforce it instantly.

     

    13. Updates to our terms.

    13.1. We may update these terms from time to time. We may send out an email confirming the changes, however in the occasion that we do not, we advise checking the terms before each purchase from us.
